It’s always such a delight to
see designer Keith Henning and artist Jody Paulsen. Eyeing out the two you get
the chance to thoroughly enjoy the ish they create. And, you get a full on
personified impression of the collections.
The latest AW14 collection is
compromises of 80s graphics, neo-Pop Art nuances and a very quirky pink finger
nailed set of hands. It’s like stepping into a psychedelic music video without
much of the drugs and plenty of the retrospective fashion.
The collection is returned to
modern day times through the brand’s well-articulated cut and styling. An
immense appreciation for simplicity and well-fitting garment allows this
collection to stand firm in its luxury market while being able to be young
enough to stick its tongue out at the crowd.
The launches are usually just
as energetic with great crowds marching upon the small boutique on Kloof
Street. I also love the eclectic vibes and independent personalities present at
these occasions. I don’t last very long though, because of my social
inadequacies, however, a few air kisses and real smooches and genuine hugs tend
to get exchanged with those few I do know personally.
Check out the look book on our
Instagram and go and buy some pieces from this collection. You won’t regret it.
