Now that the reviews are out of
the way, perhaps now is the opportune moment to send a special shout out and
thank you to certain parties. It’s best to start with the organising team
behind SA Menswear Week; it’s been so long since we’ve been chanting the
question ‘what about a menswear week’ and you have finally delivered. Teething
issues are prevalent with any event and by far, for a first-time event by a
first-time team – it was superb. Let’s make the next one exceptional. When is
the next one, by the way?
To the team from Tsogo Sun’s
SunSquare Cape Town hotel: Set in the heart of Cape Town, in the green and
leafy City Bowl area off De Waal Drive, SunSquare CT was kind enough to host
our Joburg Contributing Editor, Brian Lehang, for the days and nights of
fashion week. Revamped as the city’s newest hotspot for fashion-lovers, the
SunSquare CT Hotel boasts a range of features set to dazzle any star-studded
event visitors come to in the city of Cape Town. As we all know, fashion
travellers enjoy mingling, meeting, listening to great music – and the
SunSquare CT Hotel offers all of that plus more.

“The weather in Cape Town
during my stay was only rivalled by the hospitality received at SunSquare CT”,
says RENASCENCE Magazine Contributing Editor, Brian Lehang. “ From the moment I
arrived, the service was efficient and executed in a warm and friendly manner. My
accommodation was lavishly spacious, the cuisine at the restaurant, Zepi, was
delicious and let’s not talks about the fantastic drinks at the cosmopolitan
bar. The experience was truly international, and I’m looking forward to staying
there once more.”
Thank you once again, SunSquare
Hotel for the hospitality. Just as Richard Keet, SunSquare CT General Manager
once said, ‘you truly are set to deliver unique experiences for all’.
Special mention and Thank you
goes out to, last but not least, Bombay Sapphire – the exquisite gin created
using 10 precious botanicals through the Vapour Infusion process, for
sponsoring some welcome drinks for Imprint ZA’s fashion week after party. Never
has achievement tasted so good. The designer, Mzukisi Mbane, practically tasted
his success in the glass of Bombay Sapphire G&Ts (Gin & Tonic – for
those who don’t know…). Thank you for pulling through so very last minute with
those couple of bottles. It’s incredibly appreciated. We salute you.
Until the next fashion week.
Keep it trendy, stylish and unique.
