African luxury is a growing
market on the continent and local designers are not letting the opportunity to
delve into the space go to waste. Design duo, Adriaan Kuiters + Jody Paulsen,
are a pair doing just that. They have recently opened their new concept store:
AKJP Collective; a home housing a variety of well-articulated designer
merchandise from various African designers.
Situated on the trendy slope of
Kloof Street in Cape Town, the concept store houses brands such as Take Care,
PICHULIK, House of Gozdawa, Agata Karolina’s Cape Town-based perfume house and
of course, the design duo’s own Adriaan Kuiters + Jody Paulsen brand.

The store is minimalist –
allowing the merchandise and product displays to steal the show. Apart form
amazing clothing, expect to find on sale fantastic accessory pieces such as
bags and shoes, art and a variety of international men’s fashion magazines,
including titles such as VMan and Vogue Homme.
