Fashion,
glitz and champagne were on the menu at the latest instalment of the Veuve Clicquot
Masters Polo 2016. Hosted once again at the exquisite Val de Vie Estate in the
neck of Franschhoek, the event boasted a new layout designed to inspire and
entertain. Another new pop was the sale of hospitality tickets to the formally
exclusive Veuve Clicquot VIP lounge – a move that would either see the event do
best or die.
It
did best. A flurry of stylishly dressed guests glided into the space and were
indulged with flowing flutes of champagne, deliciously articulate canapés and
were entertained with a fashion show and an action-packed game of polo. We
spent most of our time strutting around making we were seen. We had beautiful
moments with Africa and Leanne, who were the hosts at this year’s event; spent
time with Bonnie Mbuli and sipped bubbly with visitors from outside town,
including the KayaFM team and Nigerian R&B sensation, Praiz.
The
event was true to form – glamourous, indulgent, fun and absolutely worth the
dressing up if your network got bigger from all the chitter-chatter one does
when looking to expand their equity. We’re undoubtedly looking forward to the
next instalment and guess what – we already have the outfits planned.
