2015 sees the return of the Mercedes-Benz
BOKEH Fashion Film Festival. We missed the media launch, which took place in
February, however we did not miss the press release.
After a resounding successful
2014 edition, Founder of Africa’s Bokeh Fashion Film Festival, Adrian Lazarus,
has brought the festival back for a second running; we’re not complaining. Two
awesome days filled with amongst other things, talks and networking
opportunities; we get to shop at the pop-up retail space and watch incredibly
tailored films.
As avid promoters of local
men’s fashion, we’re excited to see if the number of fashion films dedicated to
menswear have increased since last year or not. Either way, we will still
celebrate the local flavours and talents. As per royal fashion associations,
BOKEH is once again title sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. Selvin Govender of
Mercedes-Benz Cars was quoted as saying ‘their partnership with the Bokeh
Fashion Film Festival plays an important role in highlighting Mercedes-Benz’s
presence in the world of fashion and film’. This, a clear indication that
Mercedes-Benz agree with the rest of us in the importance of highlighting key
local trends through multimedia presentations of South Africa’s produce.

Lazarus comments, “We have now
created an annual event that holds its own on the international fashion film
calendar. We have been inviting international and local film submissions and
look forward to what can only be yet again an incredible platform to showcase
these focused masterpieces.”
The festival this year, will be
hosted at the African Pride Hotel – 15 On Orange. This, over the two days: 27 +
28 March 2015. Mind you, those dates are the same as the Cape Town
International Jazz Festival’s dates… We’re not missing all this fashion though!
Stay tune for updates on
the schedules and any other related info. You can also visit www.bokehfestival.co.za for additional
