Oakley has recently launched a
pair of trendy sunglasses called ‘Latch’, in collaboration with skate icons
Eric Koston, Sean Malto and Curren Caples, with renowned photographer Atiba
Jefferson. The eyewear, dubbed the first of its kind, are designed to be
securely fixed to your shirt collar or open pocket, thanks to the patented
latch mechanism built into the frames.
The process began with creative
inspiration boards and brainstorm sessions amongst the collaborators and Oakley
designers. The Oakley designers went further and studied the lives of the icons
and used what they found as direction as to what to design based on a pair of
classical Oakley frames.

What we got, was the new pair
of Oakley Latch. Oakley Eyewear Designer Daniel Chae noted, “The same way a
performance piece allows you to perform better in your sport, Latch is a style
piece that allows you to perform better in your life – combining revolutionary
technology features with a beautifully designed product. Latch is a true
testament to Oakley’s continuous belief that everything can and will be made
better.”
