The Toolbox: YvesSaintLaurent - L'Homme [Eau De Toilette]

With it's cylindrical body and hexagon shaped cap, YSL's L'Homme Eau De Toilette is a surprisingly masculine smell. Which I guess is appropriate considering it's a men's fragrance. The natural spray has hints of cedar, bergamot and even ginger. A smell that won't fail you, even in the sizzling Summer heat. It exudes luxury and modernity. Exhaling a timeless kind of elegance.

This sensual smell has done nothing but get the right reaction, every time, anywhere, for me and I foresee it doing the same for most gents out there. I don't recommend it as an everyday smell. More for weekends and nights our for dinner and a bit of a dance.

For some, the classic elegance could seem too mature for their liking, and for others it's just what the girlfriend ordered. It makes for a great smell, lingering without being over-powering.

And as an extension of a formidable brand, the packaging is also worth a mention. If you're a skeptic when it comes to new smells, visit your nearest YSL Cosmetics counter or fragrance outlet and ask for a sample to test, before you buy.
