The second showing of Jenevieve
Lyons on the SA Menswear Week (SAMW) platform was titled ‘Alabaster’. An
abstract experience of muted tones livened by the presence of an alien print. A
print design that somewhat looked like images of Earth from Mars or even coral
reef plates. Cut masculine, the collection incorporated soft, active fabrics
with great design details such as the fasteners on the knees and chest of some
items. The extra length tee trend was present, with a focus more on the back
being extra long. Jackets were on point with fun closure details include
drawstring and school bag buckles. The collection stayed true to the Jenevieve
Lyons silhouette we have been introduced to and come to love. Its evolution is
in its ability to translate a new story beautifully within that same
silhouette.
