Renaissance DIY: Nivea For Men Skincare

Skin-care for most men implies washing your face and body and off you go. Then again, you're not most men. For renaissance men, it's more than that, it involves ensuring not only deeply cleansed skin, but healthy skin too. Protected, from both the sun and excessive aging caused by today's external factors, fast paced lifestyles and constant all-nighter deadlines. Skin-care should not feel like a job. It should be as natural and routine as brushing your teeth. Essentially, it's about washing your face with the correct product for your skin-type and doing the same for the rest of your body. Then the entire deal is sealed with complementary face and body moisturisers. Here, I've noted which product team I have entrusted with the task to ensure I keep my skin in top form 24/7.

Nivea for Men's Exfoliating Face Scrub is a great deep cleanser. The face wash contains extra fine scrub particles, minerals and Vitamin E. It's great for unblocking pores, clearing away impurities and refining and smoothing your complexion by lifting off dry, rough and dead skin. This makes this exfoliator an ideal product to use 2 to 3 times a week before each shave. it will leave you with clean, healthy skin that feels fresh and smooth.

#Day-to-Day Face Washing
For your face, a daily product worth investing in is the Nivea for Men Revitalising Face Wash. A product packed with micro particles and Coezyme Q10, this baby will give you a thorough clean and revitalise tired, stressed skin. It will also remove excess oils without drying your skin, leaving your face stimulated and your senses awakened.

#Day-to-Day Body Washing
For those daily shower doses I would recommend the Nivea for Men Vitality Fresh Shower Gel. This body wash has ocean minerals that revitalise the body and with a fresh stimulant scent that calms the mind. The shower gel ensures it leaves your skin cleansed and hydrated and the dermatologically approved pH skin-balance formula leaves you with healthy skin too.

#Day-to-Day Face Protection
With all skin-care products, using complementary products always produces better results. So it's no wonder with the revitalising face wash that using Nivea for Men's Revitalising Moisturiser is your best choice for your face. The face cream contains double the Coenzyme Q10s in your skin and boasts Vitamin E and Provitamin B5. Add to that the special UVA/UVB filters and you have yourself a sun protective cream that ensures all-day moisture, firmness and comfort.

#Day-to-Day Body Moisture
For your body, after that fresh shower, Nivea for Men's Moisturising Body Lotion is key. Fast absorbing and non-greasy, this lotion contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera, which provide long lasting moisture, rehydrated skin and enhances your skin's natural protection. What you'll find is that your skin is healthier looking and feels smoother and supple all day long.

The most important thing to remember is that your skin needs to be compatible to the product you're using. Should you find different alternatives are not providing desired results, drinking plenty of water and a consultation with your GP or a Dermatologist is recommended.

Love the skin you're in gents.

    1. Hi Van Vuuren,

Yes, this is my blog. Thank you for the comment and support. As for the Clinique comment....

I have used Clinique before but not extensively enough to do a write-up on them. I would have to organise some samples and test it out again for 2 months and then maybe feature it on the blog.

I will take a look at your Facebook Page.

  3. Hi guys...
My skin is dry and pilling but after I've washed it its soft and cool, then a few hours its oily. I bought deep cleansing face wash and a face moisturiser.
    Need help...please advice.

    1. Hey Chris,

I'm no specialist, and look to the blog in the next couple of weeks as we add new grooming content, however I would recommend you double check what products you bought.

You obviously didn't mentioned exactly what you bought but I hope the moisturizer was one set for oily skin. It should be more water-based as opposed to a cream-based moisturizer.
