Lalesso! Oh Lalesso! How you broke my virginity with many an orgasm. I was such an innocent victim and you molested me with those fabulous fun cubist graphic prints, luminous colour pastels, Africa meets graphica fabrics, from beach to sundowners to dinner party collection. I could wear all them dresses you made. All of them. Just saying…

Sitting at the Lalesso show, one was transported into an exotic moment, where palm trees stood still and the women swayed from side-to-side. This exotic moment was infused with scents of pineapples, blueberries and possibly the sinful desire of midnight skinny dips. This lady, the Lalesso lady never had a bad hair day. Why? Because she always had a turban or hat or some form of alluring headgear on. So whether she really did suffer a tangle or two, we wouldn’t know. What we would be highly witness to is a collection of glamour on top of an elegant neck and face.

As she swings from beachfront to loft apartment in this exotic moment, the Lalesso lady has poise in a superbly fun way. She’s light on her feet and her fluttering dress trailing her is all the evidence you need. There’s no wind beneath her feet, it’s just the fabric on her skin. A mere motion and the garments ballet to life. In ocean blues, graphic black and blues, solid peaches, her colours evoke sunsets and clear ocean floors.
