Just when I
thought the Berlin wall between equality in men’s and women’s fashion was
getting even stronger, here comes a brand to knock quite a few portions down.
Birlin Men’s Accessories is a new brand in menswear fashion. They are providers
of men’s accessories, more specifically: Sunglasses, Wallets, Scarves, Hats and
Belts.
The brand
officially launched its brand new product range at YDE stores, nationwide, in
July of this year. The first wave of products comes in standard colour palettes
and also introduces a range of scarves more suited for the South African warmer
climate. In blends of cotton, light and airy, they are available in soft colour
swatches to match any combinations in any gents wardrobe.
Birlin Men is
inspired by German design, with strong elements of simplicity and minimalism.
The range, taking from the sleek German fashion industry’s sense of style, has
been adapted to give it a South African twist of culture. This was done to
ensure the ever SA man, who tends to be overtly conservative sometimes, could
update his look in a more trendy manner, without losing his own sensibility in
the process.
