Thursday, 13 December 2012 saw one of the most exclusive and elusive parties set fire to the rain in Cape Town. Well, not fire to the rain but definitely fire to the ocean. HUGO BOSS hosted their Summer Collection 2013 event at the gorgeously situated The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront. Encased in a glass and steel structured, we found ourselves on a wooden floor set to dazzle and razzle all attendees. I of couse, kept in line with the week's habits, and arrived late. Fashionably late. The venue was already packed and people were looking gorgeous! Even spotted the ever pretty Kerry McGregor and sister on hand wearing beautiful lady-like garments. Nothing you'd see on any of their FHM Swimwear spreads. My night is never complete if I attend such events and I don't see fabulous fashionistas such as Fashion Editor Bee Diamondhead + Prince of Prints Chu Suwannapha + amazing photographer/blogger/editor-at-large of VISI Malibongwe Tyilo + the ever fabulously literary Fumi May just to mention a few... I must admit though, my evening was made when Malcolm Klûk, of KlûkCGdT fame, greeted me and had a short chat. I never in a million years thought he'd remember me from a seam in his last dress. A BIG thank you must be made to the ever fashionable Sivu Nobo for making sure I cracked the nod for this event. Too many beautiful men. Too many couture cladded women. Delicious food - not to mention the Oyster bar that had has slurping up a storm. And of course the great fashion show. Well, enough copy from me. PS Ever been to Aces&Spades? Neither had I. Not until I heard the BOSS Models after party was there and Bee and I made haste thanks to the teleportation by Mali and Fumi. Let's just say it was an eventful Thursday!
