The only time I want to pat a
reptile is when I’m wearing one. Problem with guys wearing reptiles is that we
always wonder about our mental health status. Fortunately, Nike knows how to
play ball and keep guys looking super cool even in the most awkward of moments.
And even cooler is the partnership between Nike and Los Angeles Lakers shooting
guard, Kobe Bryant; a gigantic hot mess of fierceness on the court.
Nicknamed “Black Mamba” due to
his ability to strike with 99% accuracy at maximum speed, this American
professional basketball player has caught the eyes of the Nike team and has
assisted in a collaboration that has produced an extremely limited edition of
lifestyle sneakers.

sneaker. This slick pair of sneakers feature an all-over green snake scale
pattern that is broken up with finely stitched black Nubuck leather accents.
The shoe’s upper sits atop a contrasting off-white mid-sole with a purple
outsole. The shoe is finished with thick, waxy laces.
Retailing at a comfortable R1490 and exclusively available at Loom
in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa, it’s hard not to select this
baby as my choice for the week considering how much of a cult follower I am.
These babies would look amazing on my feet even if I wasn’t going anywhere.
