#THELOOKBOOK: HumpDay Blues

Welcome to #TheLookbook, our very own Renaissance Men SA version of style diary posts. This month’s entry looks at managing your midweek fiasco by giving you a little jolt towards a great work-to-drinks solution for those awkward Wednesdays where you never know what the end of the day holds for you.

Have a good look at the feature image and then we’ll get into what’s what in the look.

A – The Cowl Neck – Speckled Cowl Neck Jersey from Old Khaki
Winter is best defeated with the use of super thick super warm jerseys and cardigans. Old Khaki’s Speckled Cowl Neck jersey is no different. The jumper has a great and easy to wear knit. It looks heavy but is very light on the body. This jersey is cut to fit with plenty of room to allow you to move around in, so there’s some tugging but nothing uncomfortable and body hugging. I love the wooden button detail on the neck – reminds me of vintage jerseys. This baby is a great buy for its versatility and durability. Being able to wear it without or with a work shirt for those extra formal moments also add another great dimension to it.

B – The Coat – Black Peak Coat from Cignal at Markham
There’s very little one can say about this coat apart from it’s the perfect outerwear item for every guy and every wardrobe. It fits day or night situations, dressed down or up.

C – The Denim Jean – Wash Indigo Jeans from Wrangler
Tough, fashionable, durable, well-cut, versatile: a few simple words that describe perfectly the smartly tailored Wrangler jeans. With a history stemming from being the fabric of choice for heavy-duty workwear, now to being the ultimate item for everyone in the world. These babies are light and cut to shape. They tend to give you a hard time on the first wear, but thereafter, it’s just awesome moments.

D – The Leather Boat – Leather Boot from ALDO
The leather boot is a great accessory to most winter outfits. Able to protect you should it start raining, they also have the chance to look great for work on those sun dry days.

E – The Shades – Original Ray-Ban Wayfarers from Luxottica
They are Ray-Bans, need I say more.

The simple truth is anyone can pull this look off. It takes very little effort and can be alternated on occasion to create the illusion of many different looks.

Photographs all captured by Lesley aka LeHydro.
