Let’s Get Rowdy


Rowdy Bags has recently launched their ‘Get Rowdy’ 2013 Campaign. Photographed by the talented Nicola Suttle, Creative Director Romin Miremadi has captured the quirky and fun essence of the accessories collection created by Designer Nicholas Meinert through subtle yet bold direction of models Rory Keohane and Anya Bruwer to ensure they hold as much presence in the campaign as the bags do. The collection pieces range from R750 up to about R1200 pending on which classic must-have you want to own. Limited Edition Launch: Adriaan Kuiters + Georgina Gratrix + Jody Paulsen + Julia Rosa Clark




So last night I went to the Adriaan Kuiters Artist Collaboration Shirts for Men and Women Launch! It was cool. Ubër sublime and really a fashionably relaxed event. Beautiful people, great weather and of course, fantastic fashion that had become wearable canvas pieces for the artists. Every one who participated in the collaboration is young and talented and it's no wonder they were able to put together something as intimate and trendy in plus minus a month! Anyway, enjoy this pictorial. There's a shoot underway and once done and available to post, will upload with a whole lot more background information on the artists and the inspiration behind the work.

Guess what? GUESS Underwear for Men

Teaming up with well-to-do established and young artists; Georgina Gratrix + Jody Paulsen + Julia Rosa Clark, Keith Henning has designed a limited range of men’s and women’s shirts. MTV Base Africa & Klipdrift Premium Urban Smooth Sessions


BOOM. That is the sound MTV Base Africa and Klipdrift will be making in a full week’s time when they set the weekend night ablaze with their Premium Urban Smooth Session at the beautiful St Yves Beach Club with a breathtaking 180 degree view of Cape Town’s Atlantic seaboard. 1 March sees a hand-picked list of some of South Africa’s most influential acts in the music industry come together for a collaborative effort in creating a live musical experience like no other.

Expect electro-dance duo Goldfish, Record of the Year winners MiCasa, ‘Heartboxing’ singer/songwriter/producer Jimmy Nevis and DJs Loyd, Lulo Café and p.H. These entertainers are expected to ensure not a single soul in the venue takes a seat. It’s about the ultimate night of living in the moment, feeling the brands’ explosive energy and really indulging in awesome fun and great SA talent.

PRESS RELEASE: CTFC Countdown To Design Indaba 2013


The CTFC is happy to announce the 20 designers who will have the opportunity to retail and market their brands under its umbrella stand at the Design Indaba Exhibition 2013. The Designers participating in the CTFC umbrella will also enjoy an exclusive showcase platform in the form of a fashion show over the course of the Expo.

In addition for 2013 the CTFC will also attempt to break a Guinness Book World Record through innovative design collaboration with Aidan Bennett’s Designs with their stand.  But this you will need to see for yourself as their lips are sealed from this point!

The CTFC is proud to support all members of the South African fashion industry andwould like to thank its national retailpartners, Foschini and Woolworths for coming on board as sponsors yet again this year.The CTFC team is dressed by Foschini.

The CTFC will be running various competitions from its stand at the Design Indaba.  Be on the lookout for these competitions throughout the Expo days, there are plenty of shopping vouchers up for grabs.

By now we all know the deal with Beyoncé and her documentary where she portrays all sides of her that we knew and some that we apparently didn't know. Clearly this has nothing to do with fashion or menswear, but I'm certain some of our blog followers are fans. So here's some news...
